My Favorite Place- Cozumel


Cozumel, Mexico. The only time that I have been out of the United States was on a cruise. I took the Royal Caribbean to Jamaica, Cozumel, and the Cayman Islands. Cozumel was by far the prettiest. Many destinations in each place were comparable. but the later in Cozumel was so crystal clear and beautiful that is surpassed the rest. I have a Spanish minor and the Latin culture has always fascinated me.

 And of course my family and I had to take a touristy photo. That is me in the pink tank top. 


My mom, sister, uncle, and aunt are featured in this photo with a Cozumel native woman. We all went to the beach in Cozumel to swim, scuba dive, and have a few drinks. My pale skin did not favor the sun there, but I thought it was worth the sunburn (yes, even with sunblock.)

    Cozumel sounds wonderful, Tabitha! I have never been there... but I can tell I would like that beach VERY much. Maybe for this class you will want to explore some of the folktales and legends of the Caribbean; there's a Jamaican reading unit all about Anansi the trickster, and some great Caribbean books of stories online. You can see if you want to explore that when you start exploring project topics in Week 2! Here's a link to the Caribbean books, I've found that are free online.

    Wow! Cozumel looks beautiful! I have personally never been there, but I really want to go. I love the beach, it is my favorite vacation destination. This past summer, I actually got to visit Hawaii and let me tell you, if you love crystal clear water, you would love Hawaii, it is gorgeous. I would definitely recommend visiting. My personal goal is to make it to all of the islands.

Week 7 Story: Love is in the Air

The sun is out and there isn’t a frown in sight. The couples are taking afternoon strolls on campus and having picnics on the lawn. University students here are either in a relationship or casually dating. Then there was Sally. Sally is a girl who you would normally see in the corner with her nose in a book or in the cafeteria by herself doing homework.
